
Wendy Cheung, B.Sc.Phm., Pharm.D., is a global executive in the pharmaceutical industry who has been working on the forefront of healthcare innovations for the past two decades. An oncology pharmacist by training, Dr. Cheung has led and built teams of sales, marketing and medical professionals that have successfully launched 9 different new molecular entities in various therapeutic areas, including pain management, diabetes, oncology and gastroenterology. Her passion in recognizing and developing talent, along with her intellectual curiosity, strong strategic mindset and extensive pharmaceutical industry knowledge have enabled her to coach and lead her teams effectively, bringing innovative medicines to transform clinical practice consistently over the past 2 decades.
Currently Wendy serves as the Global Head of Oncology Strategy, New Product Planning, and Operations at Sanofi, where she is responsible for the company’s worldwide oncology portfolio strategy. Prior to joining Sanofi, Wendy has held progressive roles in other large-cap pharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca and Johnson and Johnson. Wendy brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic portfolio planning, medical education, stakeholder engagement and pharmaceutical commercialization across product life cycle to the board. Wendy received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto in Canada, and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Colorado.
