This policy supports Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) care for patients followed by the IWK Acute Pain Service (APS) and Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT). The policy applies to PCA use via peripheral intravenous (IV) and Central Venous Access Devices (CVAD) routes.
